Unsurprisingly, the most common way to pay in France is by bank card. You can use your bank card from your country if your bank has an international option that will avoid you paying fees. If you need to open a French bank account, you\u2019ll find some useful information below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s important to note that with French bank accounts, it\u2019s normal to pay a monthly fee for your account, and an annual fee for your bank card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In France, we use the initials \u2018CB\u2019 to mean carte bancaire<\/em> (bank card). It\u2019s also sometimes called a carte bleue<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When talking about cash, we often use the words esp\u00e8ces<\/em>, liquide<\/em> and monnaie<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
