It’s a 4-hour walking tour where the history of Portugal and Lisbon from the 15th century, is reviews and counted through the African Lisbon, talking about the beginning of the transatlantic slave trade and its abolition.

Migrantour  Visit Guide – Mouraria 

Mouraria is one of the most multicultural neighborhoods in Lisbon and the Association of Renovar a Mouraria always worked for social inclusion and cultural integration. A way to do so is implementing guided tours led by migrants, sometimes growed up or living in Mouraria, through Mouraria’s neighborhood also sharing their personal and cultural experiences, closed to their love for the city and neighborhood.

As Costas da Cidade

It’s another project of social inclusion, where the inhabitants of the ancient Curraleira lead guided tours to the new neighborhoods, passing through relevant points and sharing their experiences.
Curraleira is a neighborhood that doesn’t exist anymore: it was full of barracas that were demolished in 2001 and inhabitants were moved to new social houses in the neighborhoods: Picheleira, Quinta do Lavrado, Bairro Horizonte.
The guided tour also wants to call the attention of the public to the social exclusion that inhabitants are living due to several conditions.
Usually it is made for groups and there is also the possibility to ask for a translator with them, if needed .
